About the Game
Developed and published by Frontier Developments, Planet Zoo 2 is the sequel to Planet Zoo. Build and manage zoos with more than 130 animals, design freshwater or saltwater aquariums and custom aviaries, and release eligible animals into Wildlife Reserves through conservation projects. Career, Sandbox and Franchise modes offer different ways to build and manage your parks, while the Planet Hub brings your zoos and reserves together in a global management menu.

Planet Zoo 2 released on 2026-10-13. Frontier announced the launch time as 3 PM BST on that date.
Planet Zoo 2 is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Frontier confirmed that it is Steam Deck Verified. The official FAQ says there are no current plans for Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, and no plans for macOS or previous-generation consoles. Frontier has not announced whether it will join Xbox Game Pass or PS Plus.
